Sounds of Broadway

What is the first thing many people think of when hearing New York? Cabs, accents, pizza, street vendors, and Broadway. New York is home of the stage acting capitol. When a person wants to make it big in stage performing they go to New York. Broadway is located between 57th Street and Seventh Avenue. Broadway is currently the home of many different shows that are amazing in their own ways. Critics are amazed at the newly opened show "Book of Mormon", written by the creators of South Park and the composer of the Broadway hit "Avenue Q." Soon to be in the movies, but still on the stage is the jukebox musical "Rock of Ages." Also there for only a short time now, is one of the best musicals, "Wicked." Another, featuring Nick Jonas as the lead male, is "How to Succeed in Business." When going to Broadway, some can experience the sights and sounds of New York.

Central Park

Central Park is one of the largest and one of the best know parks in New York. When traveling to New York many people see this park as a main point of interest. New York is a very up beat city, but Central Park is just a leisurely place to do anything. It is located between 59th to 110th St., from Central Park west to 5th Avenue. Sometimes people with see the horse drawn carriages or even the ice rink they have over the summer. There are many things to do like biking, sightseeing, swimming, tennis, rock climbing, inline skating, and many others. Another main attraction to Central Park is the Central Park Zoo. There are many different exhibits, with many different animals. It is a great place for a family to enjoy together. A different attraction to Central park is the rowboats. Go around the lakes in Central Park, under bridges, weeping willow trees, and it gets a person away from the noise of New York. Come any time of year to Central Park.
